Who said birthdays were happy?

It's already happened this year. It's not even my birthday and I've already been wished a happy early birthday. My birthday is still 9 days away. I still have 9 days to enjoy my 20's. Yep. That's right. This year I hit the big 3-0. I've been dreading this day for a year now. Most people say I'm being ridiculous. I'm sure I am. I don't disagree with them. However, turning 30 has been really tough on me. I don't think I'll be old. I'm not sure what it is that bothers me. Perhaps it's because I have a ton of friends who are still in their early 20's. Maybe it's the fact that my child baring years are closing to an end. Perhaps it's just the number. I'm not sure. I just know I've been really depressed about it.
My hubby is throwing me a party this coming Saturday. I'm looking forward to it because I love parties! ;) I just wish we were celebrating something besides me turning 30. After tons of pondering I decided that there were only a handful of things that could make turning 30 become the best day of my life. These things will never happen; not in my lifetime at least. :) Wanna know what they are? I would be happy with either 1) meeting Robert Pattinson (I'm such a HUGE fan!), 2) Going to a Muse concert, or 3) Meeting Brandon Flowers in person.

Ha ha! Fat chance, right? Who says a girl can't dream though? ;)

30 or not, I'll still keep blogging about God's tiny creatures. :) It doesn't matter if I reach out to one person or one million people, as long as someone is informed about the differences we can make, I'm happy. I love you guys! In fact, I love you so much I leave you with a few humorous pics I found while browsing through photobucket. Enjoy and Peace out for the night. :)

Crocodile Festival in Pakistan - Unbelievable Photo Collection...

The crocodile festival is a unique festival in Karachi, Pakistan. It is a festival held by the ethnic group called Sheedis. It is believed that Sheedis came as slaves from Africa. The festival is held at a shrine in Manghopir, a dry and humid part of Karachi, which dates back to the thirteenth century.

People feed crocodiles and dance and sing. However, it is the dangling part of the festival that makes this stand out. A father will take his baby son and dangle it above the jaws of a crocodile. This is done to find blessings for the child.

During this festival the people will also make pledges to the shrine. These pledges are given to the crocodiles. The pledges consist of fresh goat meat. When the crocodiles accept the meat it will be seen as a sign of luck. They believe that the crocodiles will not attack because they are disciples of the saint known as Khwaja Hasan.
